Center Gate Temple
I call this world “Center Gate Temple”. I see it as a gathering place for musical memes from different cultures on the mental plane ( a place created out of the collected thoughts and dreams of people).
The player has been transported here in a dream after falling asleep listening to music. They can explore the temple. The temple’s usual pilgrims, mental constructs, are confused at the player’s presence and have retreated to watch this comparatively powerful being from the hillside.
Each instance of music that bleeds through from the conscious world is represented by a golden cube. The cubes have audio objects attached to them that increase or decrease in volume dependent on the player distance.
I wanted to have the player able to grab and throw the cubes like in the VR example level but to do this requires combining two blueprints which I didn’t quite figure out in time. In a choice between spinning and ability to grab, I chose to have the cubes spin. The ideal interaction here would be for players to grab the cubes and throw them around.
