UndNet Week 7 – Ball Drop Midterm

Just a quick update on what I’m planning on doing for my ball drop implementation. I’ve decided to use an interaction that everyone except perhaps overworked parents knows and loves: the boing of the door stopper.

My plan is to put 4 of these in a directional pad in an enclosure hooked up to an arduino with a wifi shield. As for sensing I’m still undecided between FSR’s, putting a switch where the spring reliably will move when the user flicks it (detecting the break) or accelerometers (most likely would be within the enclosure and connected through inside of spring. I’ll post progress of the testing here.
